The family run business started in Yaxley, near Peterborough and has been there some 30 years. The Idea of calling the store Library came because we loan out samples and tile boards to compile a Library card of our individual customer requirements. This ensures our customers get exactly the right look for their areas being tiled. We pride ourselves on giving a service from helping to match customer requirements to advice on adhesives, grouts and finishes. Many customers are surprised by our knowledge of the areas that can be tiled such as wooden floors, vinyl covered floors, tiles on tiles, plywood, plasterboard and tanking kits for ìwet rooms. We deal with requirements from new build to small repair jobs. The Pinchbeck showroom has been open just over 5 years and the Lincoln showroom for over 2 years. The showrooms are comfortable and pleasant to browse round. The tile showrooms are on ground floor and easily accessible for the disabled and we can help with special requirements. We import directly from top class factories with many tiles being exclusive to our stores. We have a large warehouse at our Pinchbeck branch so many tiles are in stock. All accessories for tiling are held in stock, including under tile heating which is easy to install and now very popular. Tiling The tiles displayed range from the small mosaic to large and mixed size floor tiles. Mosaic and glass are often used as eye-catching features, borders and insets, along with the metallic look. Most kitchen wall tiles are currently small 10x10cm size whereas bathroom wall tiles are getting bigger. The popular floor effect at the moment is mixed sizes forming a particular pattern. In general more and more factories abroad are moving towards the porcelain floor tile as it is harder wearing and better effects and finishes can be obtained. The overall look for bathrooms is natural limestone and marble, this can either be the real thing or a very lifelike ceramic and porcelain representation. As many people move home more frequently now they often go for a neutral look in bathrooms with matt white being very popular as it is less clinical than gloss. It still gives clean lines with numerous border and decorative tiles for that minimal impression. The latest area for us to expand into, being a natural progression with tiling. The combination of settings in the showroom gives a complete view of exactly what your new bathroom could look like. There are full bathroom settings, cloakrooms and showroom settings. With floor to ceiling tiling completed by our expert fitters as well fitted and great looking tiling can change your bathroom from usual to spectacular. There are body jet showers and spa baths along side traditional and over shower space baths. Several settings have complimentary furniture so that you can put away all of those luxury bath products.
